The Iranians are playing with the Yemeni’s lives. They don’t care all that much about the Houthis except as a tool against the Saudis and the West. The Houthis should realize that the one thing that will provoke the west is an attack on the vital shipping lanes. They are being set-up for defeat by the Iranians.
When you advise people striking shipping lanes you make yourself a fair target. Let’s up those numbers.
They’re going to have to change the flag to say “Death From America”.
I wonder what the endgame for the Houthis is.
If they shift their focus to Israel more they risk losing the battle in Yemen potentially, allowing the Saudis to enter. Dragging a coalition force in would impact them on the battlefield.
Hezbollah is currently engaged in the Syrian conflict so their help will probably be limited and potentially Israel. The Islamic “we don’t aid the Houthis” Republic of Iran risks dragging the US and other countries in before solidifying the Belt and Road. Hamas and Palestine are being pummelled so no help there really.
