I’ve seen a couple of these listings today from crowdhouse. smells like a scam of someone using their company name.
well, in real estate nothing beats location and this might be the reason for the relative low rent. does not seem unrealistic or like an error per se. Baden ist not really a place i would choose though and in Zurich you’ll pay 2.5x times that amount probably.
Red flag to me
1.5k for a 4.5 room apartment that is this nice is definitely a red flag.

This seems to happen frequently in Homegate listings: they always use same properties, same images, same descriptions and same prices. If you happen to follow listings for long some time, you’ll probably notice that these same apartments will pop up every other week or so.
I cannot understand why they don’t block these as the advertisements are always 1:1 to previous week’s scam ads.
Der Anbieter ist die Crowdhouse. Die schlagen nachher dermassen viel Nebenkosten drauf, dass dir hören und sehen vergeht. Hab bis 2020 auch in einer Liegenschaft von denen gewohnt. Nie wieder! Kürzlich hat die Crowdhouse negative Schlagzeilen gemacht, schau mal im Blick oder 20 Minuten.

It would be interesting if someone will actually go and visit this apartment, get all the details and let us know of their impression. We never know of the conclusion. We only speculate

I had one of it near me (two blocks away) so I say “Why not” contacted them with a new email just in case..
Of course “sorry. This is my vacation apartment,I’m actually working and living in Barcelona. I cant get the key to you etc….”
Then they’ll send a passport picture as a proof they are legit… You can check and see if the passport was compromised, can’t remember. I think there is an email address and the police will reply to you (legit)

I once contacted an advertiser because I thought they made a mistake concerning the price. The “owner” of the apartment then contacted me and told me that he was living in London atm, and about where he had worked before while living in Switzerland (why would I want to know that?). I’m like 99,999% sure it was a scam. The whole landlord lives somewhere else story, and the unnecessary added details to make it more believable or establish some sort of trust. It’s frustrating Homegate doesn’t do more against those scams. I mean they did take down some of those listings after I reported them, so there’s at least that.

If it’s too good to be true, it most probably is
Scam. I contacted them few months ago. They republish it often. When you contact them, they cant speak english and tell you some stories.
A normal price for this size and location is chf 2500 – 3500+ per month
