Even when you know what it means, what does it mean in context?
It’s the name of a police exercise/operation so it’s like a proper noun like Operation Overlord or Exercise One
It is just mixed lettering, it should say “Exercise Top Nudity”
Exercise? Yeah, it’s a mystery to me too. Feels like it’s something I used to know and have forgotten.
Someone from r/iamverysmart works for York Council then
York Shambles
Obtundity, according to the Concise English Dictionary, means “the state of having the senses numbed or less sharp”.
I’d recognise that arch anywhere 🙂
York?
It is perfectly cromulent to use such a word.
It’s like when your teacher tells you to use the thesaurus for better words
If I saw that sign, I’d google the word, find it’s meaning and deaden my senses in a pub. Wouldn’t want to get in trouble for not following police rules.
What did that sign just call me?!
Who the fuck throught that was a smart name for a training exercise in the police?
May I offer my most sincere contrafibulations?
I thought it was ‘Learned’, turns out learnt is also acceptable, even if I don’t like the look of it.
