This terminal processed fuel, including for military needs. The fire at the terminal, caused by drone attacks, will significantly complicate fuel logistics for the Russian military.

According to Ukrainian media, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is claimed to be behind the attack on the terminal.

The fire at the Ust-Luga port in the Leningrad region has been ongoing for almost 10 hours.

  9. I thought you had to extinguish fuel fires with foam or powder water will maybe stop it from spreading but thats all.

  10. I saw in another post that LNG is processed and stored here. I remember reading something a long time ago that if an LNG ocean tanker blew up it would be the equivalent of a small nuke.

    So it seems Ukraine was looking to get more bang for its drone buck with this target.
