Good for her that she became be an icon and basically everybody knows her. The reasons for it were horrendous. But she will keep teaching many people of those atrocities my forefathers have done.
The Anne Frank’s house in Amsterdam was depressing and smaller than I expected. It gave me anxiety, imaging how many people where hiding there. And my wife and I felt so unwelcome just by having knowledge of history, being German, speaking the language. We mostly were silent when we did the guided tour.
Edit: just cut out some spelling mistakes. Sorry and thank you pointing those out.
She had a remarkable proficiency of the Dutch language for someone her age, a truly talented writer.
