Something something mentality.
Character, yes, but also, in other words, conditioning. Two years ago, we didn’t have the strength late in games to even matter, much less score. Xavi deserves his criticism, but he has this team better conditioned than the last three coaches, IMO.
Considering that :
– We got robbed against Getafe , Mallorca , Granada and maybe against Madrid (debatable but i consider it that we fuck up more and were not clinical on our chances)
– Madrid should have a lot of less points , specially matches like the one they have with Almeria
– we won games that we did not deserve to win , like against Celta were they throw the game when they sub off our kriptonite Iago Aspas , and against Sociedad were we won with terrorist football with a last min Araujo winner
– We also suffer so many injuries during the season that we did not even deploy our best 11. Hell , we lost Gavi for the rest of the season , Pedri got injured at the start , we lost De Jong on very important matches , and more importantly our MVP from last season , Ter Stegen is injured and we really need him because so many 1-0 wins were thanks to him.
The heart attack kids are keeping our hearts pumping, that’s for sure.
