It’s not so much the methane assets as the pipe infrastructure. Rather than feeding directly to homes, they will just have to feed the methane to the electric generator plants, so the existing pipe infrastructure becomes less and less valuable. Their cost has long since been amortized, so no one should feel sorry for them but, of course, they want more cake still.
