  1. Kid looks like he has good passing and defensive skills, i think Xavi should give him a chance as a DM when able to

  2. I cannot overstate how useful the value of a line-breaking pass from a defender is. In order to escape pressure, it’s common for the ball-holding defender to find his goal-keeper, who then finds a free man in defense that can push forward. This takes time, and lets the opposing midfield reorganise to pile on pressure.

However, Cubarsí performed multiple line-breaking passes directly into midfield, saving just a few seconds. It’s not much, but it’s enough to let the midfielders face the opponents, find some space. They can play it safe, they can dribble, they can maybe even push forward with a line-breaking pass of their own. Excellent stuff.

  3. Haven’t watched the game, is his play style similar to Eric Garcia? With regards to the build up part of the game especially

  4. His passing was fairly accurate, didn’t make any sleeping mistake, Made some great line breaking passes too. Great kid, very excited

  5. Dude has been amazing so far. I really hope he’s one of our 4 CBs next season. We could sell a senior CB to make room for him and earn some pretty penny.
