  1. Excerpt:

    > In the Smolensk region of Russia, an aircraft repair plant was attacked. The facility is involved in the production and repair of weaponry, aviation, and military equipment – sources in the security services inform RBC-Ukraine.
    >
    > According to sources, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is behind the attack. The Smolensk region hosts an aviation plant that was attacked by drones in October 2023, which was also an operation conducted by the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Directorate.

    > From open sources, it is known that the Smolensk Aviation Plant produces various modifications of the “air-to-surface” class X-59 missiles. These missiles are frequently used by Russians to shell Ukraine.

I gather it is part of the latest drone attacks.

  2. Great job keep up the progress, aim for high value targets, need tenfold impact. If I could speak Russian would love to join in on the effort.

  3. A plant that makes missiles and repairs military aircraft? Excellent, I hope it burns to the ground.

  4. It’s sounding pretty likely they’ve gotten some in-house drones being used we haven’t seen yet. Maybe in this case an older Soviet era design like the ones used to strike Engels AFB but St. Petersburg was almost certainly something new. There’s clearly no stupid imposed red tape to strike into the heart of Orcistan here.

If those indeed were a new domestic drone, it might fit along with being another design of theirs that is potent with great range paired to a relatively inexpensive price. Other weapons they’ve used ranging from Stugnas and Neptunes also fit that description
