Hello all
I have noticed that whenever I order a package, which isn’t very often, that I get a phishing text message, like the one in the image. I don’t get these phishing messages unless I am expecting a package that day.
After talking to some of my family and friends about this, I noticed it’s the same for them. My question is, how do these scammers know when people expect a package? Have they hacked the Post’s system? Do they have a person working on the inside giving them this information? Do they just hope that they can steal people’s data if someone opens and fills out the phishing link? Or do they actually wait for you to give their address, so they can drive there and steal the package as soon as it gets dropped off?
Since they must have hacked the system or have a corrupt postal worker, is it worth reporting to police?
