Empty nesters now own twice as many large homes as millennials with kids as families are edged out

  1. If you have 350 million people, and 100 million of those people start to consume far more housing than in the past (empty nesters) then you need far more housing to avoid shortages. It’s so damn obvious.

    But the US has a mindset where everyone thinks they are a temporarily embarrassed billionaire. So no one supports higher taxes or wants housing to be built near them.

    It’s like a dog that wants you to throw the ball but won’t let go of it.

  2. What’s really mind blowing is that ONLY 650,000 Americans are homeless. I say only bc that’s a rounding area when counting 350million people
