Susan Hall has denied knowing Susan Hall
Christ.
Bus fares are a flat rate. She replies saying that she takes trains. Trains have those recruitment adverts for the Met that have the starting salary plastered everywhere.
Susan Hall may know next to nothing about London but she knows absolutely everything about fuck all.
She’s got those ‘extremely stupid but extremely righteous’ eyes and that’s about the most dangerous combo you can have. Slap some ignorance on that bad boy and you’ve got someone people will vote for.
I doubt she even knows that there are zones in TFL
I don’t love the fact that she doesn’t know these things, but I *really* don’t love the fact that she’s an absolute f***ing nutjob.
Neither do I – maybe I should run for mayor too
I was listening to her on the show, congrats to Sadiq Khan in advance on re-election.
Just realised it’s the London mayoral elections this year, (likely) the general election this year and the US presidential elections this year too. Reddit is going to non-stop politics 🙁
Strong HR management vibes
I (Londoner who takes both trains and buses and lives near Hammersmith Bridge) just had to look up who she was. Clearly doing well getting her message out there…
Fair, as I don’t know who she is either.
Is it bad if I’ve lived in London all my life and not known these things lol
Bus ride costs a tap of an oyster card, same as a tram ride.
Additional taps on buses/trams are free within 60 minutes.
But then again, I’m not running for mayor
A gentle reminder that given the new voting rules, she has actually a chance to become mayor!
You may not love Khan, but voting for anyone else is effectively a vote for this hopeless lunatic
Register to vote, get a valid ID or set up for a postal vote.
I listened to that interview this morning and it made be cringe all through it, she has no personality.
100 days until the Mayor election and id like to congratulate Khan on winning, even after the Tories went in and changed the voting system.
To be fair neither do i
She has an “I want to speak to the manager” look. Also a “white grievance” vibe.
And to think she’s the best the Conservatives could muster 😂
In a way I wouldn’t even mind too much if she didn’t then comment on them as if Khans messing up. Like you cant say you don’t know the budgets, or the fares of buses, and then complain that Khan has cut some routes and that he shouldn’t have. Lots of TfL budget is there and I think how much TfL/GLA has in the bank isn’t hidden like she and others seem to suggest and could look the info up.
I do like that she says she wont promise anything without knowing the figures, but it’s figures she should know.
I hate how she seems to be saying if she finds £250m then she’ll spend it on repairing the 1 bridge. It’s obviously not a good use of the money, that’s 1/4 of the cost of the Northern Line Extension on repairing a small bridge which can already be used by pedestrians and cyclists so cars can use it again. £250m is apparently how much the new proposed West London Orbital Overground line will cost.
Susan Hall doesn’t even know whether or not she’s been robbed, but she knows that it’s Khan’s fault.
I really think she’s just hoping that she can win because the voters are racist enough to vote for her over a non-white candidate.
A nakedly racist campaign didn’t work for Goldsmith (his own sister said that she was ashamed of his racist campaign, but only after the polls closed) and I’m really hoping it will fail even more badly when Hall tries it.
wonder if she said the hammersmith bridge is owned by “two councils” because its owner is hammersmith AND fulham council, would be wild if she thinks this is not one body
I don’t understand why the Tory party put up such a weak candidate. I thought Shaun Bailey was pretty bad but he actually did OK in the election and Sadiq has done things since the last election that make him less popular, so surely if the Tory party had put up a decent candidate against him they could have won?
And just a few weeks ago she was on LBC [angry at Khan about being pickpocketed](https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/susan-hall-pickpocketed-on-tube/) on the tube. [Turned out she just dropped her wallet](https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/good-samaritan-returned-susan-halls-stolen-wallet-thinks-she-dropped-it/) and it got returned to her the same day.
Also your regular reminder to [register to vote](https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote) (Mayoral elections are on 2 May) – you can vote if you’re an EU or Commonwealth citizen too! And you’ll need a valid photo ID to vote this time – you can [apply for a free one](https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate) if you don’t have a passport or driving licence.
It might look like an easy win for Khan over a Tory candidate like this, but it’s first past the post and last time it was pretty close in the first round between Shaun Bailey and Khan. So important to show up and get your vote in.
Who owns hammersmith bridge?
The Tories are struggling in London. There aren’t enough reactionary Baby Boomers remaining in the city.
