  1. Dear Mr PGMOL,
Ivan Toney is a cheating scoundrel and should be banned for another 8 months.
    Yours sincerely
    Nottingham Forest.

What happens if the letter gets lost in the post? Load of bollocks. Move on, Forest, he done ye.

  2. I mean, yeah he isn’t not allowed to move the foam, but var cant intervene on restarts and the wall and keeper have to be more aware In case the ref doesn’t see it. I’m not sure what they are expecting the outcome to be from complaining.

  3. I hope pgmol have the balls to reply with your right he did move it but we can’t help but notice your wall is also infront of the line so as you were

  4. It’s as much the wall and goalkeepers mistake as it is the refs

  5. I hope pgmol reply with “a) did you (players) even notice it and bring it to the refs attention and b) are you so dumb that you didn’t realise if you took a little step to your left it would not have gone in”

  6. what has happened to the premier league?! this happens in football all the time in the EFL, would much rather watch an EFL game with no VAR and proper tackles than the Premier League dross arguing about a toe nail being offside or someone using their brain and moving the ball 6 inches to gain an advantage. the keeper didnt set his wall right clearly. get over it

  7. I don’t know what Forest expect to get out of this.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree that it shouldn’t be (and isn’t) allowed but it happens all over the pitch, gaining a yard here or there and it’s not exactly a big offence. If the ref sees it, he’ll call it out. Equally it *is* the players responsibility to point these little things out.

I suppose you could argue that VAR could have requested a retake, similar to how (I believe) they would for encroachment on a penalty. But to my knowledge, this isn’t within their remit. So maybe that’s what Forest are trying to achieve. Answered my own question.

  8. PGMOL says it’s the ref’s (and sideline officials’) responsibility to keep an eye on everything. Ref turned his back on the ball, sideline officials didn’t see or speak up about it, opposing players didn’t raise any concerns. Goal counts.

If Liverpool aren’t going to get anything out of PGMOL directly admitting they erroneously ruled a good goal offside after a failed VAR check, Forest will certainly get nothing out of this.
