Fuck everyone behind this decision and the execution

As always, those “Conservation groups” are never the ones living near of the situation.
That’s just population control, the same is done with boars, roe deer etc.
They choose to have three main breeding groups, and that’s understandable since wolf can proliferate quickly.
Culling native species rarely fixes the problem.
this is so stupid. Wolves do not pose any serious danger to humans. Last deadly wolf attack on human in Poland was like 80 years ago . We have 2000 wolves in Poland.
It is hunters who press for killing wolves because its competition for them.
And btw hunters are more dangerous, every year is like 2-3 deadly accidents during hunting
They cost our farmers a bunch of money in the amount of sheep and other animals they kill. If a wolf gets into a sheep pasture it will not kill just one and eat it, it will kill every sheep it can. Which is horrible for the farmers involved. I too used to be anti wolf hunting, but after seeing the results of reintroducing wolves to Scandinavia in the amounts of mauled dogs, sheep and reindeers I’ve switched to supporting the culling of their population. (Yes, the original Scandinavian wolf population was eradicated in the 70s).
Also, EU with their thoughts on our wolf hunting can go fuck themselves. It’s our farmers that has to suffer losses, it’s our people that has their dogs attacked and mauled by wolves because of an overgrown wolf population. We have the right to decide how to handle OUR animal population.
That’s utterly stupid
People in the rurals doesn’t want a single one left. When in these communities you won’t hear anyone speaking about preservation that is always from somewhere else, from people in the cities or worse, from the EU. How big is the wolf population in Brussels? And a prized hunting dog can also be a loved family member.
Anyways I really don’t have an opinion in this I just pick up some things I hear from my father and his friends, co-hunters, etc. And I live in a city so I don’t participate in those discussions when at home.
I mean skansen do be doing the same though
Because wolves are not vegans that’s why.
