  1. I’d been there just going dun-dun dun-dun dah dah dun…

  2. the nazis already scrambling saying the images and videos are ai generated

  3. And I thought the pro-EU protests in Poland had loud Ode to Joy choirs.

  4. As someone who is not familiar with German politics, what is considered far right?
Even moderates get that label in the US, to the point it loses any real meaning.

  5. I will never understand how Europeans, especially Germans, can come out of school, having learned about the horrors of the World wars, and think: Yeah, let’s do that again.

    Death to fascism.

  6. Can someone explain why these protests are happening? I’ve heard of the AFD but what policy of their is it these people are so upset with, or is it just the party in general? If so why are they so seemingly hated? Are they actually fascists or are people just saying that as a way of shutting down any discourse?

We have AFS in Sweden but they are generally just seen as clowns here…

  7. This song has come to symbolise peace itself for me. It’s beautiful.

  8. It’s kinda weird to me, that there’s basically no German flags at these.

In Denmark you would see a Dannebrog (the name for the Danish flag) or five at least.

I have this idea, that the average German is afraid of his/her identity. But I feel that they should embrace being German and embrace the national flag, instead of rejecting it, which only make it easier for AfD and such to make it their symbol.

  9. Democracy is great until the guys I don’t like start winning

  10. Beethoven was born in Bonn, so that gives it even more meaning.

  11. r/europe when the protestors don’t have german flags:😢
