  1. As each side catches on to this sort of thing they’ll adopt remote detonation into the devices for scenarios such as this.

  2. A Russian would be poking it with a stick or whacking it with a shovel.

  3. get out of the way lol! I would move all the valuables and explosives out of the way and grenade that thing.

  4. Carefully remove it, take the bomb off, and send it to the EW guys to learn which frequencies to target.

  5. Very brave to get that footage but a huge help for engineers breaking these things down, bravo!

  6. Fishnets, large fishnets on poles of carbon, kevlar or glass fibre.. should have been done a long time ago

  7. This is just above smacking it with a shovel, not by much though. It may or may not be disarmed. Gtfo man, I hate seeing mistakes like this.

    Looks like our guy got lucky though.

  9. So most of these drones use the completion of a circuit to initiate detonation. Extremely simple and cheap. If they wait a while (say a few days in the cold or whatever), would the drone still detonate if the wires touched while they were removing it? Or if there was a nearby explosion that jostled it? The battery for the drone itself is mostly dead after the 15-20 minutes of flight time, but is any juice at all enough to set off these contact fuses?

  10. That’s a helluva net. Cheap lightweight nearly invisible bird netting would do the trick, getting tangled in the props.

    And the US Army made rounds for the M203 that can launch a bird net…. fairly cheap to produce.
