Because of stories like that I usually stand exactly in the middle of the platform. If that’s not possible I walk around “casually”. If it’s to crowded for that, I make sure having at least two people in front of me.
The death penalty should be reserved for specifically this cases.

Why am I not surprised this happened in good ol Brussels
In Beijing I remember they had walls along the track to prevent this. Scary stuff.
The way the perpetrator directly looks toward the cam in the first picture suggests he both knew he’d and actively wanted to be filmed doing this. Fucking nutcase.
That metro has serious safety. I’m actually amazed how quickly it stopped.
What nationality is the suspect?
This guy must be mentally ill, also how come no one noticed how suspicious he looked?
