Apparently there are 3 white owls where I live. They are in two locations.
They are usually out hunting very early. That is too early for me.
I’ve never seen a white owl flying in the wild. I’d love to.
It’s a rural location. The weather is terrible this time of year. So I won’t be out.
In summer I’d have to be out way too early for me
“Yeah, I see you Bunty. You and those little Chihuahua’s too…”
That is a superb owl
I know a cracking owl sanctuary
Sat atop the local pyramid?
These are my bogey bird. Somehow in my 30-something years of birding and 240+ British species, I’ve never seen a little owl in the UK.
I’ve been to farms, barns, graveyards and ponds where everybody else has photographed them, sometimes at 5 in the morning or 9 at night, and yet the little sods have never turned up.
I’ve managed to accidentally see them outside a kebab restaurant in Turkey, and by the pool in Mallorca, but never in the UK.
Gorgeous! It’s so lovely to spot an owl in the flesh, since they’re so elusive.
