I’ve been hearing weirds soft noises from the chimney the whole winter, today i got the time to take a look and it wasn’t inside the chimney (btw is all closed), it was on the woods near the chimney!, i look for an insect or something (that’s why i removed the logs from the shelve) but i found nothing, maybe is inside the wood. Has it happened to you??!, is it possible that is the change of temperature effect in the wood?!

  1. You have some sawdust on the bottom log on the basket. There is termites living there for sure.

But I don’t know if they make noise audible enough.

  2. Callidium violaceum. Take your firewood outside and see if the noise stops.
