So potentially 214 (D) and 219(R) After the special election in New York on the 13th of February.

They passed 20 bills last year that got signed. Lets go for fewer this year. I’d love the GQP to go into the 2024 elections and be able to say “All we got done was approving Nancy Pelosi’s budget for two years”

I’ve written off this Congress. From the start they haven’t been serious in anything. I mean I’m just hoping we make it to Jan 2025 with our government open at this point
I hope you all realize what a golden opportunity this is, and that we’ve got a role to play in it.
Every single one of these vacant seats will have a special election to fill it. In other words, a chance to flip the seat.
Bill Johnson and Kevin McCarthy’s seats are very red. But on February 13th, George Santos’ old seat is up for re-election. And it voted for Biden by 8 points. Tom Suozzi is the Dem candidate, and with a big push, we can flip this seat and get Dems closer to swiping the majority.
Voting by mail is already under way, and early voting starts soon, so now’s the time to start contacting voters! If you want to help, check out r/VoteDEM to get started.
Don’t get distracted by news stories you can’t do anything about. This is something you can do to make things better.

Who would’ve thought that in a situation like this with a war in Europe and a tinderbox situation in the Middle East you got a political party self-sabotaging its own country. How can they not see how bad of a timing this is?

There is no shortage of laws on the books. If Congress takes a six-month vacation, the country will be just fine.
