  1. Obligatory Americans will measure with anything besides the metric system comment

  2. But what breed of duck? Are they all exactly the same size, are elephant balls close?

Please use actual units of measure. Just pick one, the other side can convert if needed, it isn’t that hard.

  3. That’s about 1/400th of a football field and 5/64th’s of an inch in American.

  4. How many capybaras is that? Can they not write so that we regular people could understand.

  5. *Anything* but a standard unit of measurement, please!

  6. Thank God it was only two ducks. 3 ducks or more, and we’re getting into extinction level events.

  7. >The previous one […] was around the size of two Super Bowl trophies […]

    >The first asteroid he discovered right before impact was 2022 EB5, an asteroid around half the size of a giraffe

I hate these articles. They try to make science fun by introducing whimsical units of measurement. Don’t be fooled, kids. Science is all about math and statistics, and boring shit like that.

  8. That’s nothing compared to the one that killed the dinosaurs. It was the size of several *million* ducks!

  9. Thank God it didn’t land on earth otherwise there could have been an earthquack

  10. Oddball units of length, especially animals, are worth their weight in extra clicks and engagement.

  11. “If she weighs the same as two ducks… she’s made of wood…”

  12. Is there an inside joke or contest to see who can use the most ridiculous method of measuring things?
