There’s something very wrong here. Slovakia does not have higher wealth than the average German household. Malta second from the top?
The only thing I can think of that the top 3 have in common is that they are key locations for international fund servicing. Is this including the assets held by funds, or something equally silly?
Hmm the top four countries feel like they have something in common but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Means absolutely nothing with the state of infrastructure and public services here.
Oh yes, Germany the 6th poorest country in Europe.
i’ll spend my 300k on cocaine and hookers but i’ll give the last 16k to the homeless
Am I right in thinking this would mostly be how much equity people have in their homes?
I assume this is a result of high property ownership. Anyone who bought in Ireland 5+ years ago has several hundred thousand in equity built up, myself included. But I certainly wouldn’t say I’m wealthy.
What’s the craic with Luxembourg? Is it all Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses?
Doesn’t surprise me, any old couple in Ireland who have their mortgage paid off are absolutely loaded.
Dublin householders
According to half the people on this sub, Ireland is poor, nobody makes any money, and we all struggle to heat our homes.
A sure isn’t that grand
Another bullshit country ranking someone pulled out of their hole
Where are these figures coming from? Most people owe a lot on their mortgage and have 2 cars financed which would give you a negative net worth surely?
Half of us own 600k houses and the other half don’t /s
That certainly makes me feel wealthier. Maybe I’ll shop in M&S rather than Lidl this weekend.
Bullshit articles like this piss me off. Yeah there’s lots of older people who bought houses a while ago and have equity.
They also likely have none of their offspring residing in the country because there’s nothing for them here.
I tell you it would be hard to get to 316k on the jobs available in my town.
So there really are pots of gold at the end of Irish rainbows!
These lists never tell the full story.
These graphs are a facade. There was a report done recently which showed that when it comes to expendable income, Ireland is on par with the likes of Poland and Romania.
