Yikes. At this point it might be cheaper to use banknotes as fuel.
Can someone tell me whats the reason of this?
Well, I can only judge this in relation to the mean annual income and the percentage that transportation costs (like fuel) are adding to the overall yearly spendings… First impressen is: High price, but not too far away from the 1,70€ around here…
2,18€/l in the netherlands on the highway
Wait why is diesel more expensive
In Portugal
Diesel 1.65 average salary 1317
Average salary in Finland 3217
Edit: after countless replies stating that the average salary in Portugal is way lower that this.
Getting 95 under 2€/l is considered a bargain in NL. Well at least public transport is cheaper & more frequent then in Finland.
One thing finns and swedes can agree on, gas prices..
I remember back in the day, when i used to live in Venezuela, tanking was so cheap, that you fill a full tank for like 0,05 EU or less, and just tipped the guy 0,50 EU because the coin for it doesnt really exist.
EDIT: Grammar
Wouldn’t mind those prices and wages.
Approximately 1.70€ in Greece, minimum wage 650€
Netherlands: First time?
Crying in Dutch
In the UK, £1.45 for unleaded.
£14 or so per day to commute to work by car
OK then, maybe I’ll get the train..
Train costs *£25.5 per day* for the peak commuter train….
What the absolute f
Edit: UK hasn’t used leaded for decades, we just haven’t bothered changing the name
Meanwhile in Austria:
Diesel: 1,25
Super 95: 1,30
Cries in 10 L/100km
it is about 1.3-1.5eur/liter in Romania, while the minimum wage is about 300eur (net). Beat that! xD
Finland’s populist party is running campaign ads on the radio for the current local elections saying they will fix the high cost of fuel. The only issue is the local councilors will have no say over fuel tax policy….
Same prices in Germany and no reliable public transportation outside of big cities (even right next to them lol)
Enjoy Olkiluoto, i envy you neighbour.
Almost as high as in the netherlands 😅
Damn.
We had riots in France at 1,50€

My neighbour just complained that Diesel is above 1.40€/l again, so I just sent him this pic. People here seem to forget how damn cheap fuel is in Austria in comparison to other European countries.
Sweden: hold my bear
3.78 Litres = 1 us Gallon
one Euro = $1.15 US dollar
Finland 95 octane fuel $8.38 Dollars per gallon today.
where i am in the USA 89 octane fuel is $3.10/gallon or .71 euro/ litre
And I thought 3.20/ gallon in the US was the worst. That really sucks for you guys.
