Somebody is about to fall out of the window.
This is only allowed because it shows that the election is legitimate.

But we all know who will win…
I wonder if there’s an off-chance Putin is using this guy to win so he’d pull out of Ukraine, then Putin doesn’t have to be the one humiliated. It’s wishful thinking.
This guy is familiar. He regularly appears on Solovyov’s show as a punching bag.
Apparently he used to be a reformer, but caved into the system under pressure of mass crackdowns. Eventually allowed to appear on TV shows as a voluntary strawman for liberal reformer ideas.
He did get under Solovyov’s skin with some sharp questioning during the war, but didn’t rock the boat until now.
We don’t know if he’s working for Putin or has some ambition of harnessing anti-war sentiment to gain traction. But we know he’ll learn to fly from a skyscraper if he comes close to winning.
So the Kremlin now has updated personal information for the next special mobilization operation.

Legit question.
If a rival got more votes then Putin he jumped out of a window before the finalization. Is there an actual framework to just say “Well Putin the only survivor so winner!”?
Like the US has quiet a few contingencies for such a thing. For example, we might extend the due dates for primaries and let parties select a new person.
We really need to cut down on the “fall out of a window” jokes, sends absolutely the wrong message to any Russian who might be considering actively going against the war/Putin that they will probably be killed for it and we’ll all just laugh. The joke is stale and feels like doing Putin a service to keep it going at this point. If anything, they would just be made to make a lame apology video and likely end up resenting Putin more

Sadly pointless, as everyone who uses the electronic voting system to vote will actually be voting for putin, whoever they try to vote for.
