  1. *From Bloomberg News reporter Benoit Berthelot:*

The French data protection watchdog fined Amazon €32 million ($34.9 million) for setting up a system to monitor employee activity and performance that it called “excessively intrusive.”

The authority is targeting scanners that track employee activity and performance, CNIL said in a statement on Tuesday.

The watchdog said Amazon’s system differs from traditional monitoring methods “because of the scale on which they were implemented, both in terms of their exhaustiveness and their permanence.”

  2. Any union-busting also happening there by any chance?

  3. 32 Million aint enough for these huge corporations. That is as if I find a Euro in my couch cussions.

Add another 0 at the very least.

  4. A business is essentially a private dictatorship. The CEO is the dictator. You must obey him and his lackeys. He can create a secret police that you will never know about. Inside a corporation forget about your rights to vote or to free speech.

Society can control a small business like a bakery. It’s a dictatorship I’m willing to accept. Society can restrain a medium-size business with laws and labor unions. But you can’t control a multinational corporation.

They are private empires that are becoming more powerful than nations Behind every Billionaire living like a GOD on earth, you find a Multinational hurting people.

I’m convinced that the rise of multinationals was a terrible mistake.

That’s why I do everything I can **to avoid them**. I haven’t bought anything on Amazon in years. I prefer to buy from my neighborhood libraries. I avoid Pizza Hut and Dominoes Pizza. Fuck your globalist pizza. I go to my local pizzeria.

When I travel, I avoid sleeping in hotel chains. I go to small hotels. I don’t use Google Chrome. I use Firefox.

Why go to Starbucks ? Why should the entire world drink coffee from one american man? Fuck Starbucks Coffee and their tax evasion.

And fuck Tim Hortons. They pretend to be Canadian and dumb ppl believe it. Tim Hortons is owned by the Brazilian billionaire Jorge Paulo Lemann. This man is a thug. Fuck him. I prefer to have a world with many coffee owners and bakeries.

I actively avoid multinationals. Fuck wealth concentration.

  5. In Italy this year “best place to work” , was in the top ten.

Man I hate people here, show some money (underpaid that is) and everyone flock like pidgeon in venice

  6. While this is a good thing because fuck dystopian megacorps, I can’t help seeing the irony in a *watchdog* fining a company for *survellance*.
