It seems the only thing slowing drivers in this country is cost of living. I don’t see a war on cars.
If public transportation is well maintained and gets you where you need to go quickly and conveniently, cars become an annoyance rather than a convenience.
But the public transportation has to come first. People keep trying to put the cart before the horse.
If one is actually allowed to work from home if and when the occupation and job type allows it.
There are many cities where it already does not make sense to have a private vehicle, because of good public transit, density which offers nearby services and car rental services for occasional times when a car is needed.
