  1. It was my first time seeing her in a film and I thought she did great! I’ll def be looking out for her in more.

  2. Unpopular opinion but while I thought she was good, I don’t think her role was really active enough to warrant a nominee. She was kind of just a punching bag for the second half of the movie which was disappointing. Not her fault or an indictment of her acting ability.

  3. I didn’t see much from her, but that’s the fault of the film not hers. The entire film struck me as bizarre that they told it from the perspective of the scumbags.

I think Scorcese’s later work, like this and the Irishman, are deliberate foils for his earlier work like Goodfellas and Casino, WOWS, GONY, where crime and violence is glamorized. He’s showing who the actual victims are, and the real character behind these types of people.

  4. Guaranteed winner. Not based on watching any of the actresses nominated or their movies as have not.

  5. Lily should win. I liked Poor Things and Emma’s performance was good but I think she’s been winning these awards is because of her nudity scenes that’s just my perspective

  6. I want her to win. But I don’t want hollywood to do that thing where they give an award to an actor from a marginalized community and forget about the actor forever after that

  7. It’s great to see her get recognition. She was awesome on her small role in Reservation Dogs.

Maybe Hollywood should stop congratulating itself on these firsts. It’s 2024 and we’re saying how great that a Native American finally got a lead actor nomination. I think it’s sad that we still have to pat ourselves on the back for the bare minimum.

Maybe, you know Hollywood, just do better and offer more lead roles to Native Americans. Representation matters and hopefully this makes Hollywood change its hiring processes.

  8. She deserves it. Carried the movie as much as rest of main characters. Brilliant actress. I hope she wins.

  9. I don’t know who the other nominees are, but from all the movies I’ve watched this year, it’s her performance that has stood out the most for me. She is absolutely fantastic in this movie. I hope she wins

  10. I’m surprised she isn’t in the supporting actress category, considering her overall presence in the film.

  11. Her performance in KotFM was the subtlest, most profound acting I’ve ever seen.

  12. She should send Marlon Brando to go up and collect the award for her
