Germany sees need for toughness with Russia after European security talks

  1. I’ll believe it when I see it. The Germans have been saying it to us for years and everytime they drop the ball.

  2. > Meanwhile, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht has reiterated the country’s long-standing line that the controversial North Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia to Germany is a purely commercial endeavor. She said the pipeline should not be used as a bargaining chip in negotiations with Russia over the situation in Ukraine.

Sort of undermines the whole toughness rhetoric.

  3. Germany green lit the crimean annexation and the impending invasion of ukraine by russia. Numerous nato allies told germany publicly that nordstream 1&2 would neuter Ukraines main economic deterrent to russian aggression. Germany knowing this went forward with the nirdstream projects. Now they “loan” money to ukraine (that ukraine must pay back with interest) under the condition that they buy german weapons. Wait! Its not over~~ Germany vetos NARO weapon sales to ukraine.

So germany causes a situation where ukraine gets invades, loans them money like a modern day shylock and when ukraine is about to get weapons that may actually matter against russia; they veto it.

Dont come begging to the US about ukriane. Germany created this situation, germany is holding back weapons from ukraine, and germany is setting up a debt trap to a soon to be defeated ukraine.
