I have a quick query, and I know this community is the best place to seek advice.

I’m planning a visit to India soon and would like to keep my German number (I’m using sim.de) active for receiving calls only. I won’t be needing internet services or SMS during my stay. I don’t want to pay a hefty amount as I am still a student.

Could you please share your experiences or suggestions on the best plan or method to achieve this? Your insights will be immensely helpful!

Also, what are the things that I should care about to avoid any unnecessary charges?

I have tried to contact [sim.de](https://sim.de) for enquiries but they didn’t respond well.

  1. Just deactivate data roaming and go. No special plan needed. Incoming calls will cost money though, but not if you use wifi calls.
