  1. What is all this?
Something to do with chopsticks, I’m guessing?

  2. Chinese ‘tourists’ who nobody could see till they put their faces on camera and made a fuss.

  3. our world sucks. we can literally not have anything nice

  4. They should not have given in to them. They should show that video on a big screen in St Pancras so everyone can laugh at it.

  5. There was a bit more to this incident. Other videos showed them having fun and this guy keep calling then Japanese. Very confusing.

  6. What a jumped up, bossy prick. Wanders about in public, demanding not to be filmed and threatening legal action.

Refuses to explain what the reason anyone should listen to him is or why he’s demanding this. Just expects everyone to do what he says.

I’m glad the video of this is now….. all over the internet. Well played mate, well played.

  7. We either have two choices here…either the tourists were jackasses and should be ignored as mega Karens.

Or the poor guys were terrified of being seen, in which case they probably need more than headlines, as that’s quite sad

  8. We need to ween ourselves off Chinese money and using them as our main manufacturer. The Chinese government needs to be stood up to and be told it cannot do whatever it wants in our country and if that means slowly moving away from them then so be it.

  9. Shouting man is Newton Leng a consultant to the Financial times allegedly

  10. The guy went very hard on the communist comments which weren’t really anything to do with what was happening which was a bit weird, perhaps racist I don’t even know anymore. but the Chinese people were dumb as shit to think that conversation would work out in their favour

  11. Wouldn’t be surprised if the whole thing is fabricated.
The guy was desperately trying to push buttons when he could have backed off or at least respectfully answered but he didn’t.

    What happened to due dilligence?

  12. Typical UK response.

Someone from a different country complains and the UK bows down instantly and apologises.

Because you know we just want everyone to know we’re not racist so we’ll do everything you say.

Honestly I know this feels slightly over reactionary but it’s why so many people are becoming right wing and even far right wing.

The appropriate response here is “he can film wherever he wants, goodbye.”

    And that should be it.

Edit – also to add the police telling him he can’t use his video is bullshit. Two tier policing once again.

  13. He could have just shown them a picture of Winnie the Pooh to make them fuck off.

  14. The piano guy had been doing piano videos playing boogie woozy for years at various public pianos across London. It’s a very odd series of events

  15. If they didn’t want their faces on camera why are they in the city with the most CCTV cameras per KM^(2) outside of Asia?

  16. Hold the fuck on. The solution to all this nonsense was to arrest the piano?

You can’t make this sort of stuff up.

  17. So the Chinese government have successfully closed a public amenity in the UK?

  18. If you watch the entire stream it actually shows the guy in quite a bad light

  19. Someone should plaster their faces on massive banners all around St Pancras.
