I just don’t understand where the 3 year period estimate comes from, same with those in Germany and elsewhere talking about Putin attacking NATO within 5 to 8 years. How can they predict that??
This is fairly normal unfortunately. Our current government is in position partly because of their promises to prioritise military spending in the remote corners of our country.
This is a way of reminding them about that.
Also there was a similar statement from the commander of the Swedish armed forces and a NATO leader over the weekend so he’s tailgating that to emphasise his point
Don’t listen to the WW3 propaganda reddit fools, this is all just a distraction while our government destroys our economy, environment, strip our rights away. Wake up and get more politically involved, we need it more than ever
I believe it’s more about having a feasible defence if Russia decides they want a peice of the northern coast for some strategic reason than Putin walking into Oslo to take over the country. Or at least I hope so.
