  1. No but for some reason America Ferrera is nominated. Go figure!

  2. People need to putting so much emphasis on a golden statue. The film received universal positive reviews and made millions of pounds at the box office, why do people care so much about getting an Oscars when they have already had so much acclaim.

  3. Margot was just fine as Barbie, but I thought her accent was inconsistent.

  4. This movie and Margot Robbie had women of all ages dressing up and getting together with their friends to see a movie. How great is that❤️

  5. Just because the Barbie movie was a big hit doesn’t mean that it, or everyone in it, deserves an award. I don’t even think Gosling does

  6. I mean it’s not even Margot’s best acting job. I guess Greta could have gotten the nominations but I don’t believe Margot should have

  7. Nobody involved with the movie deserved to be nominated.

  8. Pretty funny that Ken got the Oscar nomination and not Barbie

  9. Even if they didn’t deserve to be nominated, it’s still classy move by Ryan to elevate them.

  10. So many other snubs that are worth mentioning that aren’t Barbie related tbh…

  11. I’m slightly disappointed that Noah Baumbach hasn’t really seemed to receive any public credit for cowriting it. He probably doesn’t have a problem with it but it just slightly bothers me. Lol

  12. I agree with the academy regarding Margot. Anyone could have played Barbie and done a good job, no hate to Margot, but no one could have done what Ryan Gosling did in this role.

  13. I’ll never understand the obsession with these trophies.

The satisfaction of making a movie with a good message should be enough.

They make these types of movies that tell us these trivial things don’t matter and that you should love yourself regardless, and then it’s “oh btw lets all get together in our most expensive attire and hand out awards to eachother”

Hollywood is the epitome of setting bad standards and toxicity.

  14. Nobody is owed an Oscar.

You don’t get snubbed, you just don’t win.

It’s an award, not a *reward*

  15. Maybe without them they would have made a better movie?

  16. None of them will win for acting anyway. RDJ’s a lock.

  17. As much as I love RG, I can’t believe this is where we’re at regarding Oscar nominations..

  18. And cue all those not nominated whinging about not being nominated. Jesus show some class and perspective and shut the f up

  19. Why is it always a snub when someone doesn’t win in Hollywood? You weren’t snubbed, others were better. Get over yourself.

  20. It was a great movie with terrific performances. Yet not surprising they weren’t nominated. The Academy rarely nominates comedies in any category, except supporting actor and maybe screenplay. If Jim Carey wasn’t nominated for Man on the Moon or The Truman Show then it stands to reason Robbie wasn’t either.

  21. HUGE snubs, but then again its the oscars they continue to make stupid decisions when it comes to nominations
