  1. “I have a dream to go to the place where my son died. But for now, it is still occupied. It’s near Soledar. Many from his battalion fell there. But I believe that someday I will go there… My son was very good to me. I thank God for giving me such a son. True-blue, honest. He never caused me any trouble. And he also chose a wonderful, beautiful wife. At the funeral, she said to me, “Dad, you lost a son, but you gained another daughter,” says Vasyl Kovach.

His son, Oleksandr, joined the war as a junior sergeant and fought the war with russians starting in 2014. His callsign was “Zahid” (West). He loved animals and Warhammer. He was 37.

Vasyl, the father, is filling a few more buckets of water to water the flowers on the neighboring grave – Ihor Hoivaniuk’s. He says the soil is dry, and they need to help each other like good neighbors. He looks at the flag attached to the metal cross – faded, and needs replacement. Takes a few photos of his son’s grave and leaves…

  2. Absolutely Heartbreaking!!!! Ruzzzzzia is a TERRORIST state!!!!!

  3. Keep in mind that every life taken in Ukraine is worth 100000000000000000 Putin and the collapse of Russia as a state, broken into tiny territories with no military or nukes.

Even a single mouse in Ukraine is worth that much.

Russia must pay for its crime against humanity.

  4. Повага добродій Ковач.
