Russia Gives NATO One Week To Respond To Its Demands, Says It Has Run Out of Patience

  1. Hey Putin, fuck off back to your Russian regime and stop interfering with other countries not belonging to you!

  2. Kremlin bring a ready-made declaration to the “negotiations” which they have not agreed with the other party. Which consists only of demands that the Kremlin has apparently come up with after a long night in the vodka bar, withdrawal of NATO troops from NATO territory in Eastern Europe and other things about which we are guaranteed not to negotiate.

And then Lavrov tell such fairy tales.

‘The West has been driven by hubris and has exacerbated tensions in violation of its obligations and common sense.’

Obviously, someone else is suffering from a loss of reality here.

  3. Russia’s geo strategic doctrine has morphed significantly since the 90’s and it’s aggresive posture can be traced to a series of events that culminated in what we have today.

When the Soviet Union collapsed, Russia and the West had an informal understanding that a military alliance against it will cool off. As it entered a new dawn, trying to find it’s feet, it noticed that this military alliance had a new initaitive, to expand all the way to Russia’s border. That signalled to Moscow that NATO still sees it as an adversary. This was well before the events that preceded after.

After years of protesting against expansion, conscious that the U.S uses NATO as an extension of it’s foreign policy, the West simply brushed it aside and assigned it to a power from an era long gone. Russia hasn’t been involved in any external conflicts and kept protesting. The U.S simply ignored it and then decided it was time to take their position of leveraging NATO to dilute Russia’s strike capability even further by proposing to install a missile defence system in Poland under the pretence that it’s to stop missile from Iran. Geo strategist and analyst looked at the map and scratched their heads.. a missile defence system in Poland to stop missiles from Iran? It made no sense but everyone knew exactly what that was designed for, it was a counter Russia strategy.

A lot of NATO activity happened well before the events of Georgia & Ukraine that helped shape Moscow’s position. It was clear that the U.S was leveraging NATO whilst playing the innocent game. Russia then adopted a more aggresive doctrine from then on and we are now in the situation we are today.

  4. What demands, and where can I read this?

    e: found it

e2: via aljazeera, apparently, russia dictates that georgia and ukraine not join the north atlantic treaty organization (NATO) for reasons i do not know

  5. If don’t give me a written consent agreeing that i can have the sexual intercourse with you, then I will violently rape you. It’s up to you, I gave you a choice.

  6. Why does Russia they have any leverage to demand anything? And why they think they can interfere in affairs of countries, even if they neighbor Russia?

  7. I dunno. Could be just a false premise to give the West a wrong feeling of security for a wekk while stuff gets rollling. Doubt Russia is interested in talks, too much bad faith at play here.

  8. Options for Russia:

    1. Improve economy, work with the international community like a normal government

    2. Piss off everyone with constant threats, invade neighbouring countries and get sanctioned to hell, with the only viable export becoming raw materials

    Putin&Co: 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2

What the fuck will they do in a decade or two when the current renewables policy will finally show results?

They’re so lucky China is friendly. Kinda sad, things would be better if they weren’t. No time for wars when people can’t get cheap kettles and smartphones lol

  9. And what exactly is Russia offering NATO in exchange for agreeing with the demands? Nothing?

Does Russia really feel it is in a position to make unilateral demands, or is Putin dead-set on having his very own Falklands moment?

  10. My car is always full. If i wake up to Russia invading Ukraine one day I pack my shit drive to Vienna.

  11. You guys can laugh all you want in the comments but living in Poland I’m really nervous shit will go down on here too rather sooner than later.

  12. F off Putin. Hope if he invades Ukraine will go full guerilla and make him regret while the West sanction his country to oblivion. I fell bad for Russian people though who where never asked to suffer because he is a effing egomaniac.

  13. Oh that`s easy. I even have multiple choice answers for Russia:

    1. Go fuck your self Russia!
    2. Eat shit Russia!
    3. Fuck off Russia!

  14. No matter what anyone does Putin’s regime will justify anything they want. That’s how dictatorships work.

  15. I sympathise with their lack of patience. Given that the demands are obviously absurd and totally unacceptable, NATO shouldn’t take more than a week to reply with the single word ‘No’. Ideally on letterheaded paper.

  16. A US carrier strike force is just off the coast of Turkey, in distance of Ukraine. It wouldn’t surprise me if American boomer subs lay off the coast of Russia, and American attack subs are patrolling the North Sea and just off Vladivostok. Also, there’s an American fleet forward stationed in Japan ready at all times.

Russia has 12 stealth fighters, the US has hundreds. The US has 10 carriers, Russia has 1 old and decrepit one. The US might be flying stealth bombers over Ukraine this very minute, and the Russians would have no way of knowing. Russia is outgunned by the US, let alone the US + NATO.

My point is, the Americans make a show of force without single boot on the ground. Russia is a paper tiger, with its military being a few elite well armed units supported by units manned by conscripts with outdated weaponry. This is an attempt to distract the Russian people from corruption, economic mismanagement, and lack of freedom that the Putin regime is responsible for.

  17. As someone that lives pretty close to Russia I’m gonna get ready for whatever happens next.

Odds are that this is just Russia beating their chest in order to impress their domestic audience, “Look at how badass and strong we are, sticking it to the evil West!”, but there’s always the slim chance that things are about to hit the fan.

That said, I think I speak for all of us here when I say that Russia can take their list of bullshit demands and shove it so far up their arse that they can taste the ink!
