  1. Something breaks off the plane right before the truck covers the view. And maybe even some flames visible around the cockpit area, seems to have sustained damage before crashing. Russian AA at it again?

  2. The Ilyushin Il-76 is a multi-purpose, fixed-wing, four-engine turbofan strategic airlifter designed by the Soviet Union’s Ilyushin design bureau as a commercial freighter in 1967. Russia is producing about 5 of these a year some variets of this plane can carry 2 tanks.

  3. Another one bites the dust.

Russian military airframes will have taken a beating the past two years, they’re already old, couple that with their losses putting more pressure on the rest of the fleet.

While this might have been hit by something could just be a fatigued aircraft or they hired some Boeing 737 max executives to run their production lines.

Here’s a video with a less intrusive watermark.

    Apparently 63 on board.

  4. Who flies in and out of Belgorod, so close to the front line? Not civilians. Only military. I hope there were some high star ones onboard.

  5. Apparently there was an air raid alert in belgorod around an hour ago. Maybe AA was still active and a little trigger happy.

  6. What a beautiful sight – evil invaders are being sent straight to hell 🤩

  7. Soviet planes do not crash, and Stalin’s son does not fuck up.

  8. Russian propaganda started spreading rumors that onboard were Ukrainian exchange prisoners and that they were shot down by a Ukrainian missile.

  9. Mekes sense with so many sanctions that they will have no more aviation soon like North Diarrhea.

  10. Can you hear another aircraft in the background? Specifically at the beginning of the clip.

  11. Damn, it says in the article it was carrying missiles for air defense systems.

Well, at least we know it works! What? Too soon?

  12. Hopefully filled to the brim with Russian soldiers. Would be nice with a late Christmas gift.

  13. I don’t understand how Russia can continue this war. They have lost so much and gained nothing at all. They face decades of rebellion and isolation for large economies. Their nation is a lot less safe now due to Putin’s war both from domestic violence due to shell shocked soldiers, having a significantly weaker army, and also from having angered every single neighbour.

  14. There are reports that the aircraft was full of ukrainian POWs….dayumm 🙁

  15. At least 65 people Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed, according to Russia’s ministry of defence.

  16. Latest report in DK news is that there was 66 Ukrainian POW’s to be exchanged on board – what a sad, sad, sad irony. Praying for all

  17. Sky News just showed this clip and panned out to a black puff of smoke in the top left.

  18. Heard on radio here in UK that there were quite a few Ukrainian POW’s on board this aircraft.

  19. Russia killing prisoners obviously on purpose. Plane crashs, prison, falling out of the window, poisoning just some methods Russia is using to terrorize their own and foreign people

Rip those heroes and may this be the signal for the rest of the world to finally go all in

  20. Confirmed by Kremlin now 63 prisoners of war from Ukraine aboard.one word to say …Prigozhin

  21. Russian media today : il76 made and emergency landing today, only minor injuries to the crew

  22. Alot of people commenting about UAF PoWs within 5-10 minutes from each other, russian bots much?

  23. The Guardian:

“Sources in Ukraine’s general staff say its armed forces shot down the Russian Ilyushin-76 military plane which crashed this morning in Belgorod, killing 63 people on board. According to Ukrainskaya Pravda newspaper, quoting defence sources, the plane was delivering S-300 anti-aircraft missiles used in recent devastating attacks on Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city. Eighteen people died in a wave of Russian strikes yesterday, including a nine-year-0ld girl and her mother, buried under rubble in their Kharkiv apartment.
Russia’s defence ministry claimed that the flight was carrying 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war, who were about to be exchanged. They were killed, together with 6 Russian crew and “three accompanying persons”, the Moscow news agency Tass reported.”

  24. Remember flight MH-17? Sometimes these things happen. Nobody knows why.

  25. Lots of different reports on what this IL was carrying, Russia says POWs, Ukraine says ammo for AA systems.

So far the russian track record is pretty bad when it comes to truth, so…

But it fits their narrative. “Oh we lost a plane, well you played yourself as there were POWs onboard!”

Meanwhile, and this is pure speculation, 65 POWs that maybe have been killed in prison are on the list of losses somehow?

  26. If it turns out that there is a loss of Ukrainian life onboard that plane, I hope contributors here refrain from other than respectful remarks , I can’t see it’s a time for casual remarks or any attempt at humour .
