  1. Waiting to hear it was a friendly fire incident. Ukraine has done an amazing job of preventing Russia’s air force from having unrestricted overflight, but I think one of the biggest threats to Russian aircraft is their own air defense and just general Russian incompetence.

  2. “At least 65 people Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed, according to Russia’s ministry of defence”

    It’s either 1 of 2 things

●1. It was full of Russian troops, probably shot down by friendly fire and Russia is trying to hide the embarrassment. Edit: Or shot down by Ukraine, point still stands on embarrassment

●2. It was full of Ukrainian prisoners, I wouldn’t put it past a rogue officer shooting this out of the sky just to kill Ukrainians or hurt their morale edit: or shutdown by Ukraine

Edit: I’m sticking to this, I don’t believe random Russian Twitter accounts, or Pravda saying it’s missles

Edit #2: Pravda had a update about the “missles” , this is exactly why I don’t trust Pravda

“Earlier, the article [Pravda missle article] cited sources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as being involved in the downing of the aircraft. However, another Ukrainska Pravda’s source did not confirm this information.”

  3. Once again, our media are rebroadcasting Nazi propaganda from Russia. What a shame!

  4. Very nice. One version is that it was carrying C-300 ammo and some personnel. Yet to be confirmed though.

  5. I imagine a Russian boy growing up without a dad, truly believing that his dad is actually alive, cuz Peskov said this was a plane full of Ukrainian POW. Kindergarten level of bullshit.

  6. Yeah because sure as fuck war prisoners get better transport than the cannon fodder

  7. According to information, there were 65 Ukrainian military soldiers on board who were being transported for exchange. Ukraine first wrote that it shot down the plane and then immediately deleted the news

  8. It was carrying 65 Ukrainian POWs.

Not to mention Ukraine had just placed anti-aircraft systems in that portion of the border a couple of weeks ago.

  9. O how I was hoping it was their ruzzian Awacs A-50 they sent to replace the one Ukraine blew out of the sky a couple weeks ago. Just a cargo plane.

  10. ruzzia claims there were 65 Ukrainian POWs on board. Coincidently they have about that number of POW corpses from Olenivka prison, oops I meant the crash site to prove it.

    Furthermore, ruzzia delenda est.

  11. As Jerry Seinfeld said once “ehh thats a shame”

  12. Apparently there were 65 Ukrainians on board. Dont know how much sense that makes.

Edit: dont know why you guys are downvoting me by stating facts from official reports.

  13. Still cant believe that some airlines still fly over an active warzone with the possibility of this happening

  14. Are there any emergency ‘maintenance’ right before flight?

Is plane crash the new ‘window’

  15. Reddit Hive Mind blindly ignoring Pravda (the Ukrainian propaganda website) changing the headlines after shooting down a plane with its own people. Laughable.

  16. 1: Russia loses plane over own airspace (to own fire or Ukranian)

2: Russia needs to save any last shreds of their “reputation”

3: Russia takes 60 dead (or soon to be dead) Ukranian prisoners and spreads them over the impact site

  17. Congrats Ukraine on shooting down your own PoW’s, that’s what happens when youre trigger happy

  18. I’ve read mixed stories about this. Seems this situation is: If there were POW’s on board then Ukraine will fully give blame to Russia. Probably even claim that it was Russian air defences that brought it down. If there were really rockets on board, then Ukraine will claim they brought it down and it is a victory for Ukraine.

One truth is, the real truth will probably be buried by Russian and Ukrainian propaganda.
