  1. Well, the only way for them to gain more profits now is to hike up prices.

    Unless they go for ads.

  2. All these companies with their insatiable desire for higher levels of profit are trying to cook us alive with price increases. One day we will be saying, “Back in my day Netflix was only $10! I can’t understand why anyone would want to pay $60!”

  3. Netflix is included no extra charge in my cell phone plan otherwise I would’ve cancelled it

  4. I genuinely don’t subscribe to streaming services for new content. I steam Hulu for the hits like 30 rock, modern family, and that type of content. I stream Disney for their movies. I don’t need Netflix and the lot to create new shows, just give me the movies and shows that are already made and give it to me for cheap

  5. I’m using AI to make programming just for me. This makes Netflix the new Blockbuster

  6. So, they are engaging in premeditated corporate inflation to appease shareholders? Checks out.

  7. Why though…Hulu has a better library I swear anyways. All Netflix does is cancel shows

  8. I hope that extra money goes to writers and people working on the set.

  9. As a consumer they’ve raised the price now four times within a year and offered nothing in return. no updated interface no resolution control no bit rate increase nothing in fact they’ve taken stuff away technically… I’m officially done with them after all these years starting with the DVDs via mail. They don’t even offer or will not offer an individual screen plan with complete with 4K for under $20 so guess what it’s not worth my time or my money.

  10. Lol and they added wwe to the service. WWE fans are going to get mad. Those virgins are going to have to pay more for standard and with out adds service.

  11. I wonder why people think Netflix is worth the higher price.

Given the success of something like Suits, maybe they don’t like using the remote? I haven’t been impressed with their original content vs. other streamers enough for them to be the most expensive one.

I have gotten the ok from the Mrs. to cancel next price hike. She’s into the Korean romcoms and dramas, but I should be able to switch it out with Rakuten.

  12. Quality and quantity of content needs to increase to justify another price hike.

  13. Man, fuck you Netflix, I already pay enough for your shitty subscription. You never have anything good on your lists, I’m going to seriously consider canceling my account if you keep this crap up you greedy cents. Fuck you

  14. Sad thing, most of this money seems to not be going to increase the level of service or quality with these streaming services. If we saw a more direct impact or benefit, gladly.

  15. Thank fuck I cancelled, I’d never consider going back. Keep begging me via email you embarrassing selfish company

  16. Boycott and cancel your subscription, easy. Only way to get their attention is to actually do something instead of just complaining online

  17. They continue taking out the movies and tv shows that are truly worth attention, give us some trashy nothing-new Netflix originals and still increasing the pricing?? Shit.

  18. Canceled today. They’re losing the no ads option completely. One of the main reasons I stream is no ads.

That plus Stuber leaving means it’s time.

  19. I cancelled like 6 months ago. My life wasn’t disrupted in any way. But in all honesty, why? Is there being value added? No new content (and even if there was, not like they’d make it easy to find), the UI hasn’t changed since I first got it like 10 years ago. What exactly is being added or changed to feel the need to raise the price?

  20. I’ve already cancelled all of my streaming services. Now Netflix, Disney, and Amazon will get nothing from me. Higher and higher prices for worsening services.

  21. Prepare investors for the company to tank. I need to get a hard copy of Nimona fast!
