Donald Trump is furious, absolutely furious, that Nikki Haley is using the New Hampshire strategy that Trump used in 2016

  1. TL;DR:

    * Former President Trump is upset that Nikki Haley used his 2016 NH strategy.
    * Trump is frustrated that independents have boosted Haley in the primary.
    * Haley sought to appeal to the critical independent bloc and traditional conservatives in the state.

  2. Trump hates to be mocked.

Haley is mocking Trump and this gets under his skin.

Dems take note since the Lincoln Project knows this and uses it to get under Trump’s skin.

Sadly, Dems are weak and are too scared to do this.

  3. I am so happy that he is absolutely furious over this. The angrier he is over Haley not dropping out, the faster his dementia progresses.

  4. The key word Trump used in describing Haley last night was **imposter** of all things. Trump worries that Haley is the new Trump.

  5. I dont even like haley but god damn do i want her to beat him.

  6. People shouldn’t have to register as Republicans or Democrats to vote for either party in a Primary. You should be able to keep your party alignment, if you have one, confidential.

If you want to use your vote in the Republican Primary but end up voting Democratic in the general, who cares? That’s democracy and you are voicing your choice.

  7. Biden will probably end up facing Haley. She’s signalling past Trump, whose base existed before he led it, that they can unite behind her to promote the same ideas. It’s a good gamble on her part, Trump may not make it to the election proper.

  8. She doesn’t have to beat him to weaken his fat ass. Competitiveness alone will fill Stinky Don’s diaper, repeatedly.

  9. The Republican fascination with Donald Trump is still staggering, makes zero rational sense.

Sorta funny tho that they think it’s a big deal he’s winning their primaries lol, sure Jan thousands voted for him in your parties popularity contest meanwhile millions would rather crawl thru fecal matter than vote for him nationally.

  10. A Indian woman who is far right is beyond my comprehension. She’s just a redneck

  11. Is Haley banking on Trump being convicted, and his #’s tanking?

That’s the only reason I can see why she’s still in the race at this point.

  12. > In 2016, Donald Trump won the New Hampshire GOP primary on the strength of his support with both Republican voters and undeclared voters. (…) But Trump is incensed that his remaining GOP rival, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, utilized his 2016 campaign strategy this year.

For reference, per [CNN’s exit polls of the 2016 primary](https://www.cnn.com/election/2016/primaries/polls/nh/Rep), Trump won 36% of the independent vote and also exactly 36% of the Republican vote. The fraction of Democrats was less than 3%, so no splits available there.

[The 2024 CNN exit polls](https://www.cnn.com/election/2024/primaries-and-caucuses/exit-polls/new-hampshire/republican-primary/0) have Haley winning Democrats 88-5 (6% of the voters), winning unaffiliated voters 60-38 (43% of the voters), and losing Republicans 25-74 (51% of the voters).

As much as I enjoy seeing Trump getting his comeuppance, these are not even remotely the same strategies. Trump 2016 made an emotional appeal to anger that crossed ideological boundaries, getting support in the mid-30s from all ideological groups (compared to Cruz whose support dropped as voters got more moderate or Kasich whose support dropped in more conservative voting blocs). Haley 2024 fully invested in getting unaffiliated voters and crossover Democrats on board and motivated to show up in the Republican primary to defeat Donald Trump.

  13. Not surprised the winner would give the sorest loser of a victory speech here. If nothing else, I’ll give it to Nikki Haley for having pissed him off enough that he contradicted his call for unity, thereby making a usual ass out of himself and demonstrating further just how unfit he is to be reelected.

She needs to stay in the race all the way up to the convention so we get more of this

  14. The nut wants to be handed the presidency and with the help of his MAGAts will screw American Democracy. He is terrified that the real truth will find him guilty, ineligible and incompetent to hold such a position again.

  15. The longer she stays in, the more money he has spend on campaigning that can’t be spent on lawsuits.

  16. >I don’t need any advice from RINO Kayleigh McEnany on Fox. Just had a GIANT VICTORY over a badly failing candidate, “Birdbrain’ and she’s telling me what I can do better.

    – DT’s Faketweet from last night.

And what? He’s mad at his own ‘RINO’ of a press secretary now? This man-blob has the memory of a petulant goldfish…

  17. Every article makes it look like Haley is well behind Trump in support. While Trump garnered about 55% of the vote and Haley about 44%, Haley is only lagging by about 6%. In other words, if Haley gains 6% of the voters, Trump loses 6% at the same time. That would put trump at 49% and Haley at 50%. The gap is thus far narrower than the 11% reported.

  18. Nikki Haley doesn’t have to beat Trump. She just has to be left surviving after he implodes. A lot is going to happen to him in coming days: The E. Jean Carroll decision, “Absolute and Total Immunity” decision, and Judge Engoron’s Trump Fraud decision chiefly among others.

  19. I love it when he’s furious because it brings him closer to the inevitable stroke

  20. 11% difference with Trump ahead.

Every talking head was saying 15% or less difference was going to be a big issue for Trump, and that 10% was almost impossible. Here we are at 11% making it look like Trump isn’t very popular.

  21. Stay in all the way until the convention. Every thorn in trump’s side hurts his chances of being elected.
