Unfortunately the US’s latest track record of folding and running away and not having the stomach for a sustained fight is building a perception in Russia /N.K./ China and Iran of weakness, which will unfortunately only provoke them to act further.

Depends on what they nuke. If it’s a city, goodbye humanity. If it’s a tactical nuke, the only outcome would be total isolation of Russia – even China/India would cut all ties I’d bet. Every dime and land would be seized. Then whatever foe is engaged with Russia would get a blank check.
I thought that the US military had standing orders to retaliate in an event of nuclear strike. Like not asking congress or the president or anyone just start lobbing nuclear warheads at designated targets of nuclear capable nations. That was the basis of the mutually assured annihilation idea and I think the US never changed these orders.

I fully believe it would depend on who is in office. Depending on who’s in the only thing Putin would fear from the US would be friction from the non stop dick sucking from a certain political party in the US and the inevitability of have his Johnson getting permanently stained orange.

Russia is right unfortunately – the US would do a lot of shaking their fists but the reality is the US is paralyzed by indecision and petty party politics. Unless the US or a NATO member was hit they wouldn’t retaliate beyond some extra sanctions and even at that I reckon they’d force Ukraine to surrender to remove any immediate threat of escalation
The standing threat to Russia, which has been issued during this war, is that if nukes are used we would not need to retaliate using nuclear weapons as we have a big enough conventional first strike stockpile to eliminate most of russia, and then roll in and take land to compensate.
Given how ruzzia’s calculations so far have been so wonderfully correct during this war, it’s time to do some introspection and maybe, just maybe, remove putin.
Ruzzia should remember that US is the only country that actually dropped nukes.

Translated as more and more of my nuclear arsenal gets inspected I am discovering that most of my nuclear arsenal doesn’t work because of rampant corruption throughout my military.
All of my yellow cake has decayed into sadness cake, the high explosive starter charges were removed and sold off along with the blast caps and the wiring harnesses are so old and have not been maintained or inspected so even if everything was still in the bomb probably wouldn’t go off.
My icbm fuel is inert or flat out missing and The silo doors haven’t been oiled in so long they won’t even open.
Being the insecure tiny penis man that I am I’m going to constantly threaten to use nuclear weapons as an attempt to make everybody think that my entire arsenal is fully functional.
