good. 9 million people is too much for a country this size
We did it!
We don’t care
no duh

It’s intentional. It’s sending a message. /s
Maybe it is.
But the person at the immigration office didn’t look at me like I killed her children. Random people in the street didn’t ignore (or shout at) me when I has having trouble with the parking ticket machine. My neighbors don’t look at me like I’m public enemy #1 (in fact they never look at me, everyone just stays quietly at their homes) or observe curiously when I leave my house or how many boxes/mail arrive. The supermarket employee didn’t shoo me away without even looking at me.
Edit: Not saying everything’s perfect. When I was searching for an apartment house owners didn’t even bother to cover up what would be considered racism in some countries, and would be (*probably) 100% illegal in the EU: “we only accept swiss tenants”. There are definitely lots of assholes (like in any country), but so far I’ve found the Swiss to be some of the most polite people in the continent.
Good
Good thing we’re not in Europe then..
this is once again a stupid ranking based on nothing. I checked the sources they link for like 3 minutes:
“Familienfreundlichkeit” is based on a country ranking by US News. They themselves have no precise description of what that means, but it’s in the “quality of life” category. But I’m pretty sure it’s not about whether the country is nice to family tourists as holidu.de makes it out to be, but whether it’s a good place for a family to live…
Then the taxi service:
If you check the underlying study, they don’t talk at all about customer service friendliness or whatever. Switzerland is ranked dead last cause it’s the most expensive place to get a taxi of all the countries. They judged taxi services by “average taxi cost”, “uber vehicle options”, “rush hour price increase”, “luxury taxi cost”, “availability”.
I am very surprised though that Switzerland has higher theft than countries like spain or Italy. Also all the nordic countries have higher theft than every other country? how is that possible lol
Clickbait, hehe
Imagine being depending on Taxis.
This was a message from the reliable public transport gang.
So after checking the numbers most of these scores are bullshit.
Portugal has “Mittelmäßig” in english? everyone speaks it. Switzerland has “Niedrig”? is that based on what?
Also “Taschendiebstahl Risiko” Albania is the safest country in europe? really? Probably very weighted for reporting / handling by the police instead of being forgotten.
Switzerland has the worst Taxi service of those on the list (Edit: its based on Uber availability and price in bern), but there is not data for public transport for example, and that could be most relevant.
Complete bogus study.
As a French who is in Switzerland, 🇨🇭 is a lot more hospitable!!! Of course, there are dumbs everywhere, but Swiss in general are not are not as unpleasant and contemptuous as the French.
This was the plan all along
nice
As someone who moved here in the last year, this is an absolute horse shit claim across the board.
Has to be one of the easiest, most comfortable countries to exist in, whether tourist or resident.
good
He was only mad because we have no UBER “Taxiservice am niedrigsten”

At least we’re number one at being inhospitable?
On the other hand, the flag is a big plus.
