I ordered something from raw food shop and got a message from Posten about a package. A few hours later, a number starting with +92…. Messaged me and said they were from Posten (even though it didn’t directly come from that title *Posten* but the number that starts with+92)… And looked at domain. It says postenx.com/no… Instead of Posten.no… This has to be a scam…. So I reported as spam and blocked it. I searched what code+92 is and it’s Pakistan? Anyone fall for this? I would not put in my info…

Also checked their base domain postenx.com and it says Not found…

  2. It’s a scam, for all the reasons you mention, and also because this website doesn’t even have your package number. Block and forget.

    If you ever have to pay something (hypothetically), you will be able to do so when you pick up your package

  3. Rule of thumb is that if it ain’t .no, then it ain’t legit.

    All of the BIG orgs and companies use .no as only Norwegian citizens, organisations and companies can register .no domains. The same goes for any of the public organisations and institutions.

    Norwegian country code is +47, numbers from anywhere else is a scam. Even then, Norwegian numbers can be spoofed.

    Never, ever give banking information, passwords, BankID etc… Over phone. These are credentials and sensitive personal information, they will never ask you for this over a phone call.

    Ignore all posten related messages that doesn’t pop up there.

  10. Yes, posten would have added 150kr vat plus 150 kr admin fee. The amount they are asking for is not high enough. 😂

  13. A good rule to live by is to ignore every call and email asking for personal information or money.

    If someone really need to contact you, they will do so by mail
