The downed Russian air force Il-76 RA-78830, had just had a flight from Moscow to Iran around Jan 23. Then, it was seen taking off from Iran and then getting back to Russia via Saudi and Egyptian airspace on Jan. 24. And then it was downed near Belgorod.

  1. They took those ukrainian pows sightseeing before the downing.

  2. Now the Russians will say that every Tupolev and Mig shot down had 10 POWs, 3 cats and 2 orphans.

  3. And Russia claims it was carrying Ukrainian POW’s.

I’m gonna be bland here, and say I don’t believe that at all.

  4. Is russia going to kill a bunch of pows in retaliation?

  5. “It was full of potatoes for the peasants…we mean citizens…of mother Russia. It is because of Ukraine and NATO, you see, dear peasants…I mean fellow Russians…why you are starving and going cold.”

  6. What exactly does that prove through? Military transport plane used for transfer of weapons can move personnel aswell. Besides, Iran does not produce S300 rockets…

  7. How do you go back to Russia via Saudia Arabia and Egypt?
That´s like from Miami to Toronto via LA…

  8. There it is, the proof, that’s the classic POW route.

  9. Given the constant spamming from every English-language regurgitator of the Kremlin’s official line, suffice that Putin is ensuring any future shoot-down has some narrative padding to deflect the embarrassment of Putin’s forces losing yet another aircraft.

Mods need to get to work here.

  10. 1. POW transported on IL-76 god know from to/where? Yeah, right.
    2. POW long dead and russia made a cover up story? Very russian
    3. Plane on regulars to Iran and then all of a sudden it flies POW? lol Refer to #1
    4. 70 people on board you would see bodies everywhere – none or videos support that

  11. There’s no evidence this was the plane, and Illia posted a tweet under this one saying that.

  12. The fireball created by the crash suggests the cargo was war supplies, not POWs.
