Damn Russians placed their country where NATO is expanding and preventing it from covering the whole world.
I guess in 2030 the Taliban can join membership too.
the challenge to european security is not having a defined defense policy in the eu. the challenge to european security is not having every european country in the eu. the challenge to european security is having a non european organization taking the rains of it’s defense policy.
Challenge to NATO is coming from Russia, not NATO. What a genius!
NATO is the reason why the EU cannot agree on common security. Certain countries just veto EU foreign policy and ride along with NATO instead. That should not be an option, otherwise the EU will never have consistent foreign policy. So yes, NATO is a challenge to European security. Without NATO, the EU member states would have to sit in a room and agree on foreign policy or *not have any foreign policy.* With NATO, EU member states that don’t like the direction just veto it completely and lay back waiting on a security solution from NATO. That obviously is not workable. So again, NATO is a challenge to European security. Not because it wants to, but inadvertedly it is.
Challenge to European security is europe being part of a useless braindead alliance that only serves the US’ interests.
