  1. In 2023, 14,000 people used this entry route to the EU, according to schengenvisainfo.com.

  2. I was looking at the Koenigsberg area that Russians are occupying now and it’s a strange place indeed! There are quite a few of original German churches left across the landscape and they are slowly decaying.

It feels like it was a great European landscape before, but now it looks like random Russian dump a la Tver.

Sad really, it would be wonderful to see all that architecture restored.

  4. Can someone please explain Kaliningrad to me.

    It makes zero sense.

  5. I was wondering before the war once if living in Kaliningrad Oblast could be like neat, being so close to Europe, and on the Baltic coast. But now it’s a security concern for neighbors. Well that sucks.

  6. Kaliningrad was offered to Lithuania once. Naturally offer was refused. The fact is no one really wants that territory, since accepting it mean giving citenzship and voting rights to its Russian population, meaning it would have huge political influence on domestic desicions shifting the influence towards Russia. Rather keep it as it is.
