I mean, salt is literslly a flavour enhancer. In the right quantities it makes everything better.
They arent talking about replacing a teaspoon of sugar for salt.
Plus, people have known about salt and chocolate for decades. And in the past 10-15 years with the surge in salted caramel, this should be obvious that salt makes everything better when it’s used properly.
