Not saying I believe the Russian narrative, but a lot of these “facts” are pretty dubious. We don’t know which airframe was involved in the crash. It’s perfectly possible the crashed aircraft didn’t have its transponder turned on, so won’t appear on ADSB tracking websites.
Be cautious of any info coming out this early. Especially unsourced claims from Twitter.
This situation is the perfect example of how the mainstream media AND social media both rely on dubious clickbait to generate profit than actual journalism, otherwise they would NEVER publish headlines ripped from Russian State Media.
Whatever the hell happened with that plane, the responsibility lies with russia alone. If it was filled with Afrika Corps as some say, then they were stupid to take a military plane near a warzone. If it was filled with POWs as others (and the ruzzies) say, then they were put there deliberately, so that putin’s cronies could claim some sort of demented moral high ground. Either way, if Ukraine shot down that plane, it did nothing aside from its obligation. Russia is to blame.
Russia was too quick to talk. Which means they had a script ready. Which means they prepared that script after they lost their last IL-76. Which means there were no people on this plane apart from crew. This plane was shot down by anti-aircraft fire. The explosion on the ground looked like the plane was carrying something highly explosive, or had full fuel tanks at the very least. The only real mystery here is, did Russia shoot their own plane down? Or did Ukraine notch up another kill? There is no question that Russia is lying. We all know they lie, because they have to.
Russia lost pilots and several security personnel traveling with the POWS .
I hate the Russians as much as anyone.
But unless some Russian on that plane was a known Putin opponent , or a former Wagner official , or similar , it was an accident.
The western media should be looking into the backgrounds of the handful of Russians killed on this flight .
Just to be sure.
The comments on a lot of these official videos are getting blasted for being false and they’re still not doing anything about it
I’m so sick of how quick Western media tries to make Ukrainians look bad meanwhile they NEVER talk about Russia’s blatant civilian shelling.

According to the video, the plane was still slow and low when it was shot down, like it had taken off just minutes ago.
It barely had time to register on Russian radar, never mind Ukranian radar. I think it was shot down by MANPAD or short range AD.
Many or most of the major news outlets have to take a good hard look at the facts before making headlines. Russia/Ukraine obviously but also Israel/Hamas where the BBC had to admit they just repeated what Hamas told them… Russia also never lies, obviously
my guess is this hit russian equipment lines hard and they are just trying to put pressure on ukraine to stop it
