  1. While lining his pockets and the pockets of his family members.

  2. Bus Trump claims that he is such a great businessman. At least he keeps telling us that. How could that happen? **$8.4 trillion**

  3. You mean to tell me that the man who went bankrupt multiple times and had many failed businesses blew away a fortune? Who would’ve thought?

  4. 38% increase, for those keeping track.

And he had increased annual spending by $940 Billion *before* the pandemic, so this isn’t all explained by “but Covid”.

Trump’s economic policy was objectively stupid: decrease revenue while increasing expenses.

  5. That’s nearly $25K of debt added per US citizen, so that’s not awesome.

  6. It is mind- boggling when seriuos-faced maga lemmings say they are voting for this guy because they care about the economy.

  7. That face is a national debt. So, I’m gonna go off here for a little bit. After all the many theories explaining why the cult loves this guy, I think I finally think I get why many of them do love them. He is unabashedly stupid, unashamedly racist, proudly selfish and ignorant AND SO ARE THEY. They identify with each other on that level. They have his permission to wear it all as a badge of honor. And he has their permission to ransack the country. So, I guess my next question is legacy. Does this guy care about a legacy? If he does, it won’t be a good one. He and his family will be left with crap for centuries, unless it is rewritten.

  8. $8.4T? But he promised to erase the national debt that was already $75M in 1791.

  9. Conservatives “yeah but he gave up his presidential salary, so what!”

  10. His calculations to break even assumed the economy was going to grow 6% every year. Which is a joke and was never going to happen.

  11. >I want someone to run the country like a business.

    –People who understand neither.

  12. Wouldn’t it be wild if they passed legislation that mandated if you are running for or currently hold an elected position, anything you say publicly will be independently verified and the results posted along side what you said? Am I a madman?

  13. “It’s a lie/I don’t believe it/Mainstream Media/I don’t care I’m still voting for him/ still better than sleepy Joe/They’re just out to get him/They’re out to get ME, but he’s standing in the way/Migrant caravan/Hunter’s laptop/Hillary’s emails – lock her up!!/witch-hunt/Poisoning our blood/blah-de-fucking blah” don’t you all get it: THEY JUST DON’T CARE.

  14. Republigelicals are not good for the economy. They fucking can’t do math.

  15. >The only significant deficit reduction enacted by the Trump administration noted in the report was due to tariffs levied on a variety of imported goods, which are calculated to have brought in $445 billion over 10 years.

In other words, the only significant source of revenue during Trump’s presidency was the **half a trillion dollars** in new taxes that he unilaterally created without congressional approval.

  16. and the poor are paying for it more so than the rich…

  17. The notion many have that this doesn’t matter is incredibly naive.

A huge amount of the budget now goes to interest on debt. That’s money not going to healthcare, infrastructure, social benefits or tax cuts.

An no, the US military can’t change this situation.
The moment the US decides not to repay its debt, no one will ever loan the US money again or only at ridiculous interest rates

  18. Hey wait I was told Trump was a good business man , is this not true ?

  19. In 4 years so imagine if that idiot was potus for 8 years.

  20. Biden needs to be pushing this hard, along with many other things

  21. To be fair, should we count COVID money?

Also to be fair the other direction, he spent it on corporate welfare. Those fucking ppp loans were snatched up by big corporations and then forgiven.

  22. Trillions in tax cuts I’m sure all the billionaires appreciate it

  23. Haley should really be hammering Trump over this and other things but none of the candidates except Christie would. It’s such an unusual primary season.

  24. 8.4 Trillion so far…..there’s a huge amount of the population ready to see him back and wreck more havoc while they get poorer….

  25. Al Franken said Republicans claim government is the problem and when they get elected, they prove it.
Our billionaire class did get some generous tax cuts though.

  26. and he’ll add 10 times more than that if he gets to be president again! He belongs in prison for the rest of his life

  27. Cons will tell you Trump is good for the country because gas was 1 dollar a gallon during peak covid.

  28. Well he said he was gonna run the country like one of his businesses and most of his businesses went bankrupt. As he once said, “Promises made, promises kept.”
