I don’t feel the blame is solely on Omicron as Germany was starting to see cases rise before Omicorn. Cases were level until mid October and then started climbing throughout November and Omicron was discovered end of November.
Overreaction to the spread, you mean. The UK avoided Omicron hysteria-induced restrictions and is already back to 2019 in economic terms.
