Hello all,
My car tire is punctured and I went to the tire shop to get it repaired. After examining the tire, he told me that tire can’t be fixed but it should be replaced with a new tire. He tried to explain me but I couldn’t understand much.
Can I someone tell me, why is it not possible repair it ? Why should we change the tire itself? Is this normal in Germany?
And he also said the cost of new tire is 157 euros. I felt it’s bit too much.

That’s pretty close to the sidewall of the tire and can cause structural damage to the tire, but this is one if iffy, it’s so close to acceptable it’s probably best to just replace it to be on the safe side. As far as the cost, you can look up the model number of your tire + size, it’s on it. For performance tires that’s not a bad price, but for a economy car that’d be high.
