I’m used to criminals hiding their faces not the law enforcers. Maybe that says a lot what’s happening right now.
Cops conceal their faces in two sorts of societies: The first is one where the rule of law is under constant, violent attack by organised crime or revolutionaries. The other is one where there is no respect for basic human rights, laws are created by the elite to benefit the elite, and since they bear no relation to the consensus view of the population, the police conceal their identities out of fear that a day might come when the elite’s minions will have to pay for their abuses.
Russia is not only a terrorist state. It is a rotten state, and Putin will not and cannot do anything which might turn it into a healthy society where its citizens actively want it to survive and prosper.
